The cluster around 16th, K and M Streets is the densest hotel corridor in the city and the hardest to work at rush hour. At the Park Hyatt Washington DC in the West End, the 24th Street entrance is calmer than the M Street side and we default to it for early departures. Georgetown and the Waterfront
Georgetown rewards a driver who knows it and punishes one who does not. The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown sits on South Street below M, and the approach along the waterfront is narrow enough that we normally send a sedan rather than an SUV unless the luggage demands otherwise. Hotel work is mostly airport work. From downtown, Reagan National (DCA) is fifteen to twenty-five minutes depending on the bridge, Dulles (IAD) is forty to seventy-five, and BWI is fifty to ninety. Those upper bounds are not padding — they are what a Friday afternoon actually costs.
